Mission Statement

The Korean Language Foundation is a non-profit organization launched in 2007 in New York City to establish Korean as a foreign language academic subject in public and private schools in the United States.

KLF’s purpose is threefold:

  • First, to support and encourage all learners of Korean language to gain appreciation, awareness and respect for Korean culture, values, and perspectives.
  • Second, to raise scholarship funds to support the development of highly qualified Korean language teachers.
  • Third, to retain great educators by providing professional development opportunities.
